Getting Acquainted

Hi, I am Connie. I am married to Jack and we have two grown children, Steven and Stephanie. Steven and Jack own a fence business. Stephanie is a teacher and she also helps me hostess your weekend retreat.

A caretaker at heart, attending to the needs of my weekend guests is second nature for me. I have a nursing background and have spent most of my career as owner of a wellness business. Working with many school systems and worksites, I loved being able to impact people’s lives in a positive way through stress reduction and healthy lifestyle changes. A huge mind/body advocate, relaxation segments and Yoga were always incorporated into my programs for stress reduction.

I see scrapbooking as an extension of wellness. Besides being fun, what better way to nurture than going back to moments in time and reconnecting with loved ones? Celebrating and decorating those memories in books, if that’s not therapeutic………

My other great passion is old architecture, home decorating and entertaining. I love visiting old cities with ornate buildings, churches and homes. My current home was a painstaking journey of many cities and home tours as I worked to keep my home authentic to the period. I gathered antique windows, fireplace mantels, lighting fixtures and home furnishings in and out of state. No detail was overlooked, nothing was left to chance. This home has accommodated many family members for holidays and out of town visits for 9 years, and now I look forward to sharing my home with you. I know you will love it too!
