What Makes
Us Unique?
Hands down, we are Livingston County’s most lavish
weekend retreat! We are different from the rest of the other
scrapbooking retreats. Let us tell you why.
The Crème of the Crop caters to the discerning guest
who value individuality, and attention to detail. With a
current maximum capacity of 9, our guests enjoy the extra
pampering and personal attention of a smaller group. You
won’t get lost in the crowd or stuck in a bedroom
with 7 other guests, who may or may not snore!
With earlier check in and later check out we offer a 48
hour non-stop crop!! Each guest has their own 6’ table,
paperbasket and Ott light. You’re welcome to use our
wireless, high speed internet computer for all of your journaling
needs. We also have adhesives, pens, decorative scissors,
punches, Cropodiles, die cuts and the Cuttlebug machine
(sizzix friendly) available for your use.
The
Crème of the Crop is all about choices. We think
your weekend should be unique, because we don’t believe
that “one size fits all.” We have two distinctively
different cropping areas from which to choose. Choose your
mood and we have the room for you. From our elegant parlor,
to our large bonus room, both areas have their own ambience.
One
word sums up our guest rooms…CHOICES! Select from different
pricing choices in our private rooms, semi-private rooms, or rooms for
3 or 4. Far from ordinary, each room has its own distinct charm and
beauty. From the elegant Master Suite, to the Country Victorian room,
to the large Bonus room, to the vintage Attic room, the choices go on
and on. Your comfort is priority one, so count on comfortable beds,
with plush pillows, linens, blankets and comforters for a restful
nights sleep. All beds are “real” beds with “real” mattresses, no line
`em up, boarding house style bunks beds, pullout sofas or roll-aways.
Choose from twin beds, queen beds, or a double bed, we accommodate each
guest with their OWN bed. However, you always have the option to share
your queen or double bed at a reduced price. Opps, we almost forgot,
just one more choice! If you’ve booked the Master Suite alone and
desire no distractions, you can choose to crop in the privacy of your
own Suite. Remember, this weekend is all about YOU.
The
Crème of the Crop insists on full, HOME COOKED MEALS
for every meal. Our goal is to make every meal as special
as you are. We want your dining experience to be memorable,
every meal unforgettable. Using only the finest ingredients
and some of “Grama’s” recipes we prepare
five delicious home made meals, appetizers and desserts.
Since variety is the spice of life, we don’t limit
ourselves to a fixed menu. Nearby orchards allow us to change
with the seasons. Fresh strawberry shortcake, muffins loaded
with blueberries, pancakes topped with raspberries, baked
apples, mmmmmm! You never know what tantalizing treat awaits
you, so come often to find out! We believe meals should
be about more than eating! Beautifully set tables with fine
linens, cloth napkins and comfortable chairs are standard
at Crème Of The Crop. No eating in shifts or TV tables
allowed! Dimmed lights, soft music and candlelight in the
evening completes your dining experience.
We
love our home and we know you will too. It truly is a step
back in time to an extravagant bygone era. Beautifully furnished,
you will appreciate the attention to detail our decorating
reflects. Located in the quiet of the country, secluded
from neighbors by woods and wetlands, our yard features
an east garden and beautiful landscaping. An old-fashioned
wrap around porch and sundeck provide a quiet retreat to
enjoy the nature around you. It is very common to spot deer
in the yard and you might even get a glance at some spotted
fawns!
We dare you to find a more lavish scrapbooking retreat!
Pampering,
pampering and more pampering, with a nursing/wellness background, your
hostess is a “professional caretaker”. After the late night
snack on Saturday, we offer an optional 15 minute guided
imagery, relaxation session that restores and renews. We also have
a Professional Massage Therapist and Manicurist available on Saturday
for an additional fee.
Location, Location,
Location! Experience the serenity of the country without the hassle
of gravel roads. No worries about getting lost either, easy to find,
we are 1/2 mile from US 23 on Clyde Road. Centrally located we are 20
minutes south of Flint, 40 minutes north of Ann Arbor, 45 minutes east
of Lansing and 60 minutes west of Detroit. So much to do so close by!
The Historic Parsallville Grist Mill is a 5 minute drive, Spicer’s
Orchards is a stone’s throw away. Charming neighboring towns each
with quaint downtown districts, historic homes and sprawling outlet
malls are 15-20 minutes away. Did I mention the Antique Mall?
Book
at certain times for special local events. Howell’’s
Balloon & Melon Festivals & Fantasy of Lights Parade
take place in late June, Aug. and Nov. Holly’s Old
Fashioned Dickens weekends begin in November and run through
the first weekend in December.
We
are versatile and also cater to beading, quilting and other
craft groups. Book for a craft weekend or come without crafts
for a local event weekend. Love to shop? Gather a group
of friends for a “shopping retreat.” Within
in 15-25 minutes you can be at Genesse Valley, Green Oaks
Village Place, Twelve Oaks or Tanger Outlet mall, not to
mention downtown shopping in Howell, Brighton, and Holly.
We’ll get you ready for the shopping frenzy with a
hearty breakfast. Shop all day or feel free to return for
a “power lunch” guaranteed to keep you going
until dinner. After dinner go back to the hunt or let our
massage therapist work her magic on aching legs & tired
feet.
We
guarantee an unforgettable weekend as you experience the
indulgence of a bygone era. We don’t embellish or
over-state. You can expect to get the outstanding service,
great food and unique accommodations described on our website.
This is one time when “too good to be true”
DOES NOT apply. Come see for yourself and we’re sure
you’ll agree.
